Our Story
Angela K. Durden
does not have a hook. That means that when you hear her name, you
don’t yet think to buy a children’s book. The stories are very good.
Even the larger houses to which the stories were submitted thought
the characters were great. But how do you make the public remember
the character or author?
You get their
name in the news or in publications of various sorts. And that costs
money and lots of it. I am not a singer or actress, so no name
recognition here. Yet. But we are working on it by taking our story
to the streets and asking those people who like our stories to
tell others about them.
That is why
this publishing house was started.
I know that what
I have written is good for children and therefore, I am putting my
money where my mouth is. But let me tell you this: it is scary as
all get out. I have to put up all the money to pay the
illustrator, do the website, get the book printed, all in such a
manner that I can make a profit and have something left to start
work on the next title and not lose my shirt doing it.
The illustrator
